Dear Parents,
The last week of term is going to be very busy. Please note below the various arrangements for this week.
On Wednesday the 4th April, the Primary Choir and Senior Choir will perform some songs for the opening of the Cedars Music School. The event will be held in the GP Room in school, from 2-3pm. Everyone is very welcome.
May I remind you that as a result of this concert, there will be no after school clubs on this Wednesday. This means that the last after school club will be on Wednesday 28th March.
On Thursday 5th April, we are holding our Easter Service at 1.30pm in our church on Jamaica Lane. All family and friends are invited to join us on this occasion, when the Primary and Senior Choirs will perform again. Pupils can be collected at the end of the service at 2.30pm. The school bus will run.
In addition, we will be holding a History Day on Monday 2nd April. All pupils in Primary and Secondary are invited to attend school dressed as someone they admire from history.
Primary 1-2 pupils: will come as a famous Scottish person of their choice, to link with their current study on Scotland.
Primary 3-4 pupils: will come as a famous Polar explorer of their choice, to link with their studies this year.
Primary 5-6 pupils will come as a famous Russian of their choice, to link with the study on Russia this year. Or as a Scottish person from the time of Mary Queen of Scots.
Middle school pupils will come as character from history who they have enjoyed learning about.
S3-5 pupils will come as a character from history they admire.
This will be an exciting day! Pupils will vote for prizes including most original and most realistic. Some of the primary will perform songs they have learnt about Scotland. For help with ideas, please speak to your class teacher, guidance teacher or Miss Rukin.
May I take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy Easter time.
Best wishes,
Mrs Speirs
