Fire safety

This afternoon we had a visit from Paul Donnelly from the Fire Brigade. He came to speak with P1/2 about fire safety. This tied in so well with our people who help us topic. Everyone was then given the chance to try on some of his uniform. I wonder if you can recognise any if the Fire Fighters?
































Paul was also telling us that Greenock Fire Station has an open day on Saturday starting at 11.00am. He said that everyone would be most welcome.

Primary 2 walk

First thing this morning we went for a walk round the block.

Senses

Today on science we focussed on smell and listening. Some of the smells made us hold our nose and then we guessed sounds from a cd.

Money work

Today for maths we were colouring coins to make different amounts and we were also playing money lotto. We were learning to always start with the biggest number when adding numbers together.

Coastguard

We had a super visit from Alison the coastguard today. She spoke to us about how she helps people and what her job involves. We even got to try on some of her uniform.


The birthday boy got to try on the jacket first. Happy birthday Adam.
